You Blood Sucking Leeches !!!!!!

i hope you didn't take that personally,.

i was watching cnn and they had a segment about how useful leeches were in the treatment of patients who had unclean wounds.

if you applied leeches to the wound they would eat all the pus,blood,clots etc and aid in the healing process.. i seem to recall that a good jw could not use this kind of treatment because it would be wrong to allow a leach to feed on your blood.

Why I Think Politics SHOULD Be Considered Here

i was looking at valis' thread and i agree that being insulting, provoking or rabid is out of order in any type of discussion.

when people in general, anywhere, talk about religion or politics, it usually sets up sides.

one of the things that jehovah's witnesses were not allowed to do ever, was to get involved in any type of political discussion.

Yep. I think having heathly political debate is a good thing, moreso for us ex-jws. We just need to keep it friendly. Calling bush an a$$hole is fine. Calling kerry an idiot is fine. Calling other members anything similiar is not acceptable.

I personally like the political debate, I have my beliefs and reading other peoples posts teaches me tolerance. Tolerance is another thing we never learned so well as jw's and I think is important.

Did they ever answer the question of the dinosaurs? I can't remember the JW version of where the dinosaurs came from, did they exist only in the 6 days before man was created? And how could the dinosaurs eat blood and were those big dagger size teeth made for chewing through redwoods?
